I don't know if this is a visual side-effect, or the math is wiggy. Probably the math since I already know there's failures in the HUD.
Either way, ships to the sides are pretty much impossible to see. What should probably happen is the viewpoint for the front VDU should be from 10 meteres or so behind the ship, and 10 in front for the rear VDU. That way there'll be some slight overlap in the two displays - and should make side ships more perceptable.

Screw the sides. This is useful enough, especially with the overlay now showing a directional pointer. Moving to half-testing.
