This is fishy. It requires some other work be done, and other work requires it be done. This is mostly discussion the seperation of weapons (think pk2s-7500) from the turret mount. They still need to be collided and rendered together.

I'm unclear if this is a fantastic idea or not, to be honest. It allows for a great deal more customization, but it might be a great deal more complicated to implement.

Turret/weapon separation as well as object connection point definitions need to be completed. The union of objects need only be done once for the physical hull and therefore the different objects may be rendered as a part of the same game entity. This is important to limit the scope of change to the turret game object class.

Not absolutely critical for a LIMITED release.

If absolutely necessary I can just drop any ships with turrets. Yes. I'm willing to cut that much for now.
